If you have just experienced a relationship break up are you having trouble getting over your ex? When you were the one that was broken up with it can be especially difficult on you. Even if you initiated the break up you could still have some emotional attachment that you are trying to overcome. While there are numerous solutions to this, there are a few common things that can apply to anyone to help speed up overcoming any emotional attachments. Although these may sound like unpleasant methods they are meant to help speed up your recovery. The purpose is to help you be happy and move on with your life. What you may be experiencing is a grieving process and is actually normal. The issue is how long you are grieving, the quicker you get past this the better. The first issue you may be dealing with is denial. You might be refusing to believe you have really broken up thinking it's just temporary. All evidence may be indicating otherwise but you don't believe it. You need to accept the fact you have broken up and deal with it. One of the best and easier ways to deal with it so you can move on with your life is to get rid of reminders of your ex. This does not mean you have to throw them out or sell them; you just have to get them out of your sight. Getting them out of your sight will help you emotionally because you will not get constant reminders. If you have lots of reminders in your home you can work on them a few at a time. If anything you have gives you extra strong reminders of your ex get rid of those first. It may only take putting them somewhere outside of your house; perhaps a friend will hold them for you. If you want to throw some things away go ahead. If you feel like trying to sell off some things you can do that. You do not have to get rid of everything for good but if you did make some money from selling some stuff take advantage of it. You must make sure you can legally sell things you owned together with your ex. You may not have the right to sell it and could get in trouble. What you can do with the earnings is go shopping for yourself. What you can do to help make yourself feel better is buying something you have wanted but your ex would not let you have. You would be boosting your moral buying something special for yourself this way. There is one last ingredient to helping yourself get past your ex. That would be dating someone new. Don't start dating just to get even but get out and have fun. You need to enjoy your life and be happy; if you sit home thinking about your past relationship you will be miserable for a long time. If you have a longing to save your relationship, it would be essential to learn all you can. If you just try to improvise it you stand a chance of making it worse.
